Common questions
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile > Settings > Security > Delete Account. You will be asked for your password. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. No longer have the app? Email privacy@docbear-ent.com from the address on your account and we will delete it. Delete your account lists exactly what is deleted, what is kept and for how long.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Open Profile > Settings > Privacy & Data > Download my data. The file is machine-readable, so you can move it to another service.
How do I restore a subscription I already paid for?
Open Profile > Settings > Restore Purchases. Sign in to the app with the same account you used before, on a device signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with.
How do I change or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so they are changed or cancelled there:
- iPhone or iPad: the Settings app > your name > Subscriptions.
- Android: the Google Play Store app > your profile picture > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
In the app, Profile > Settings > Subscription shows a Manage subscription button when you have one. We cannot cancel or refund a store subscription for you; see our Terms of Use (Section 5).
How do I report a recipe or review, or block another cook?
Open the recipe or review, tap the menu (three dots), and choose Report or Block this cook. A blocked cook's recipes and reviews disappear from your app. To unblock someone, open Profile > Settings > Privacy & Data > Blocked users.
My account is for someone under 18. What can a parent control?
A parent or guardian decides whether AI features, voice input, subscription purchases and, from age 16, public recipe sharing are switched on. Each stays off until the parent turns it on. The controls are in the Parent Control Panel link we email to the parent, and in the app with the PIN we send them. Section 14 of our Privacy Policy has the details.
The app shows an Update screen.
Your version of the app is no longer supported. Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play, then sign in as usual. Your account and data are kept.
